Additional sustainable development information | Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced. It enables us to reduce CO2 emissions by 23% compared to a traditional dye. |
Eco-design of the TRAVEL 100 backpack | We work relentlessly to reduce the environmental impact of our backpacks. It’s a balance between material choice and product durability. In fact, the heavier the bag the higher it’s CO2 consumption. In most cases, a heavy material will be strong and durable. This is why our challenge is to combine eco-design with durability. |
What about the TRAVEL 100 from a practical point of view? | On this TRAVEL 100 rucksack, we worked on the fabric, using mass pigmentation. In the first year, we have moved all inner BLACK fabrics over to the dope dyed process. In the second year, along with our partner supplier, we managed to develop this for the outer fabrics in DARK GREY, BLACK and KHAKI. |
How to adjust your backpack? | Begin by adjusting the lumbar belt. The bag's weight should sit mainly on your hips. Then tighten the shoulder straps to bring the bag's weight towards your back. Attach and tighten the chest strap then tighten the smaller straps above the shoulders so that the back sits perfectly on your back. |
Backpack TRAVEL 100 compartments | Suitcase-style wide opening. A big internal compartment in the bottom of the bag (for shoes or laundry for example). A mesh pocket on the inside and on each side of the main compartment. A zipped pocket in the belt (ideal for keeping your phone close at hand). Water bladder compartment on the back (can also be used as a computer pocket). |
Protect your bag in the rain | The bag has a rain cover with a 2000 mm (schmerber) waterproof rating. This is equivalent to resisting a 60 L/m²/h downpour. |
Warranty | 10 years Warranty on the stitching, zippers and in case of a manufacturing defect. No Warranty on physically induced damage, inappropriate usage or negligence. |
